Fresh Juice

One thing that is very important to consider, is that you will want to make these drinks fresh each time you want to drink them. The reason for this is that any exposure to the air will destroy a large portion of the vital nutrients that you are trying to get from the juice, so it would be a good idea to only make what you are planning to use very soon during that day. That will keep you from wasting ingredients that you can use later in the week. The only way you can save some of the nutrients would be to keep it in a very dark glass container in the refrigerator, but there will still be some loses, so it might not be worth it.

Important Functions

Sometimes the body needs an extra jolt to get things going. This can be especially true of parts of the body like the liver. The best way to do this is to eat foods that get your liver producing the fluids that flush the toxins out of the liver from the blood and foods you have ingested, and deposit them into the intestines to be removed from the body. One vegetable that is great for this kind of action is celery, so this article will be discussing a simple recipe using celery.

Making the Juice

To make this kind of juice, it will be important for you to already own some kind of juicer. There are a lot of different options available today that can be fund online. In your local area, you can try looking at street fairs that resell those kinds of appliances.

Once you have your juicer ready, you can simply add a cup of pineapple, half a lemon, a carrot, 2 celery stalks, and a small thumbnail sized piece of ginger.

Green Juicing Recipes for Glowing Skin

When you see yourself, how do you feel about your skin? One of the most neglected parts of skin care is diet. For some, monitoring the food they eat can be a major undertaking, but did you know that there are fruits and vegetable juices that help you to get clear, radiant skin? Green Juicing Recipes for Glowing Skin are a great tool for that!

Green Juicing Recipes for Glowing Skin

Juices are not only delicious, but also powerful concentrated sources of the nutrients from its respective fruits and vegetables. The consumption of green juice drinks can help give you beautiful skin, and protect it from future damage. Take a look at how you can make green juice to help with your skin and complexion.

What It Does for You

As the largest organ in the human body, the skin is put under tremendous strain due to exposure to natural elements, and man-made pollutants. When the body is able to gain easy access to a source of vitamins and minerals, it’s more likely to have an easier time repairing and maintaining your organs. Your skin’s state of health is more visible to the eye than that of any other organs, so clean healthy skin is also an indication that you are getting the proper nutrients. Here are a few great recipes that you can try.

Ginger Carrot Green Juice

Carrots and apples are great for the skin. The agents in apples help the vitamins and minerals to absorb more efficiently in the body. The pectin helps increase circulation. Ginger is heavily antibacterial, which can help limit the amount of bacteria found on the surface of your skin. It also helps improve the condition of your gut and helps maintain a balanced population of the proper bacteria. Simply take 4 carrots, ½ of an apple, a thumbnail sized piece of ginger, and place them into a juicer. Chill and serve.

Pineapple Cucumber Green Juice

Along with the refreshing and invigorating aspects of apples, this juice adds the power of cucumber. This vegetable is an amazing source of potassium, vitamin C, and most importantly, a nutrient called silica. Silica is needed for the construction of much of the tissues like skin and tendons in the body. Without healthy tendons, your muscles wouldn’t be able to function and connect to bone. A dose of green juice with the cucumber will give your skin a health boost. Toss 4 – 5 large cubes of pineapple into a juicer with half of a cucumber and half of an apple. Chill and serve as quickly as soon as possible, because fresh juice like this will lose its potency through the week.

Help Eliminating Toxins

One of the most important marks of a healthy vegetable would be one that helps your body to remove toxins. When toxic chemicals, and naturally occurring poisons begin to build up in the body, it makes it harder for the body to metabolize what it ingests, and these chemicals can arrest some functions entirely. Putting a good fruit in your diet like apples, or lemons can go a long way to cleansing the body. Many fruits and vegetables contain an agent called pectin. Pectic is one of the main things responsible in lowering cholesterol in the blood, and helps the body to remove excess fats and toxins from the body.

Metabolism Functionality

Another benefit of pectin, is that it helps with digestion. When your digestive system is working more efficiently, you can absorb more nutrients into your body. A good fruit or vegetable like papaya, apples, or spinach helps regulate blood sugar while helping you to pass many of the other things that you’ve eaten in a 24-hour period. Water soluble fibers like pectin also attract particles that should be disposed of through the elimination of wastes. Plant based sources of protein and minerals are also highly accessible by the body. Eating more vegetation in general encourages metabolic functionality.

Reduces Water Weight

A balanced diet should also help you to have the proper amount of moisture distribution in your body. When fluids pool in areas in the body, it can contribute heavily to circulation issues that are caused by extra water weight pressing into things while sitting, lying down, etc. Watery vegetables like cucumber help stimulate the body to jettison the extra fluids, thus bringing down some of the weight. This also helps get rid of toxins that are being swept up by pectin and other water-soluble fibers.

How to Create a Well Balanced Green Juice

It’s exciting to be able to come up with your own recipes, including those used for juicing. There’s a charm and satisfaction in knowing that you can innovate and create your own blends of flavors and make dishes that can provide a measure of medicinal benefits. Before you can do this though, there is probably a small amount of study that you need to do so that you can know what sorts of fruits and vegetables produce specific kinds of flavors and properties the drink will take on when blended together. If you continue reading the next few paragraphs, you’ll learn how to create a well-balanced green juice.

How to Create a Well-Balanced Green Juice

Support Your Metabolism

One of the major benchmarks of a good green juice will be that it has the ability to support your metabolic functions. Fruit like strawberries and apricots are great for stimulating the metabolism. When your metabolism is being kicked into gear, these fruits are also delivering healthy amounts of vitamins to your body. Strawberries are also high in antioxidants that help to fight unhealthy types of fat formations, and protect against oxidative stressed that come from around you in your environment.

Stabilize Your Blood Sugar

Another important part of eating food, is knowing how it can affect your blood sugar. Vegetables that help you to be able to regulate your blood sugar help protect the body from damage that results from blood sugar spikes. During these spikes, the body isn’t operating on an efficient level, and can burn out some cells. Fruit like cherries, or vegetables like kale, chard, and spinach can be a major line of defense in keeping you from blood sugar spikes.

Gain Energy for An Active Day

Everyone knows that eating good food should make you feel energized and ready for the day. Selecting the best fruits and vegetables for that can simply be left to your tastes on each day, as long as you remember that you shouldn’t eat the same vegetables every day due to the possibility of a natural toxin build up.

Stimulates Removal of Wastes

One of the last things that should be on every health list of how food affects you should include a section on whether or not the food encourages proper elimination. The excretion of waste matter is a major part of having a clan, healthy body. This means high fiber fruits and vegetables that contain heavy concentrations of soluble fibers like pectin that can help the body get rid of cholesterol and minute amounts natural poisons.

10 Water Infusion Recipes for Weight Loss

Water Infusion Recipes for Weight Loss? Monitoring your water intake is so important because drinking water is what keeps you hydrated and healthy. If you’re anything like me, drinking just plain water can be difficult to choke down. I mean water can be kinda boring right?

You want some flavor and spunk added to that water, which is why a lot of people use the flavor additives such as MIO or Crystal Light and while those things are great, you can use natural products to get just as great of a flavor with a higher nutrition value for your body! I’m going to be sharing with you ten of my personal favorite water recipes for a delicious taste!

10 Water Infusion Recipes

1. Raspberry-Lemon
Water In order to create this combination you are just going to need about 4-5 raspberries per 8 oz of water, and about 2-3 lemon slices per 8 oz. Raspberries are a great berry to use for antioxidant purposes and cleaning toxins out of your body, while lemons are a great source of vitamin C and actually helps to burn fat in your body. Not to mention this amazing combo tastes like raspberry-lemonade.

2. Strawberry-Water
This one is very simple because all you need to add to your water is simply strawberries. I recommend chopping them into quarters and I use about 6-7 whole strawberries per 8 oz of water. This gives you a nice, subtle refreshing flavor while the strawberries really help to release the toxins in your body and creates a detox cleanse.

3. Ginger-Lime
Okay well if you didn’t know already, ginger is absolutely amazing for you body. Ginger has many health benefits including reducing inflammation and even helps to prevent multiple types of cancer. Throwing in the lime will help to make it a more pleasurable flavor with all of the same health benefits.

4. Watermelon Water
Another simple one is a watermelon infused water. Just simply cut up some watermelon and drop it in your water. In my personal opinion watermelon doesn’t give a very strong flavor so I personally like to let watermelon sit in my water overnight in the fridge so it is a bit of a stronger flavor. Watermelon is another great way to detoxify the body.

5. Lemon-Apple Cider Vinegar
This is a great one if you are dieting or attempting to lose weight. This combo helps to boost your metabolism and kick start those fat burning cells to promote weight loss. This can be a bit of a sour/acidic taste so what you can do is add a bit of splenda or stevia to sweeten it up a little bit and it ends up being a pretty good combo.

6. Cucumber-Mint
This is one of my all time favorites because it is simply so clean and refreshing. Cucumbers are great for hydrating your body because they are mostly made up of water, they promote healthy skin and hair care, as well as helping to relieve bad breath. Mint is a great way to help with digestion in your body, can help with reducing gas in your body as well as clean out your sinuses if you are clogged up.

7. Orange-Lemon-Lime
This is a big old mixture of citrus goodness while providing you with a heaping load of Vitamin C. This is an awesome one to drink if you are sick or beginning to feel a cold coming on. It’s absolutely delicious and has a ton of refreshing flavors.

8. Apple-Cinnamon
They always say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, so why not put that apple into your water and get those nutrients while you drink? Throw some cinnamon sticks in there and you are not only adding multiple health benefits, but your drink will now taste like delicious apple pie.

9. Cucumber-Basil
This is another one that is similar to the cucumber-mint recipe. Cucumber once again is great for hydrating your body as well as healthy skin and hair care. The basil will aid in building your immune system as well as aiding in your hair/skin health, basil also helps with your cardiovascular system, and your bone and muscle health.

10. Berry-Blend
For this one I like to just compile various types of berries including raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and cranberries to create a huge berry blend that is very delicious and great for your health. Berries are a great source of anti-oxidants and really help to boost your immune system.

Water is such an important part of your diet and it will never hurt to add extra vitamins and health benefits! If you’re one that can’t choke down regular plain water, try some of these fun recipes for a fun boost of flavor.
