Green smoothies are filled with fiber, which is an excellent substance to help improve digestion and may even offer relief to the symptoms that are caused by common digestive disorders. The ingredients that are included in green smoothies are loaded with chlorophyll.

Green Pineapple Smoothie Recipe

This recipe will make two 16-oz smoothies so you can share with a friend or save the second one for later.

Green Pineapple Smoothie - Ingredients

You will need:

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • 3 cups fresh spinach leaves, washed and dried
  • 1/c vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water or milk (or coconut water, or coconut milk)
  • Sweetener of your choice, if desired. Personally? I think it is sweet enough without adding to it.

Directions:

1) Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and frothy – or simple use your smoothie setting on your Blendtec.

2) Taste and add sweetener, if desired.

3) Serve immediately or store, covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before serving and then rip into it like a monkey on a cupcake.

Note: If you like a thicker or colder smoothie, you can add some ice to step one.
