Tips for Developing a Healthy Lifestyle Instead of Dieting? With Winter coming up, that means we are more prone to eating sugary sweets, carb loaded comfort foods, and just unhealthy foods in general. It is really common that people gain weight during the winter because of all of the yummy food around the holidays, and you are not able to go outside and be active as easily, then of course we regret the weight gain in the Summer when we are looking for that bikini body! Today I am going to be sharing with you a few tips to keeping your figure all your round by simply developing a healthy lifestyle versus trying to diet.

Tips for Developing a Healthy Lifestyle Instead of Dieting

Water, Water, Water:
I cannot stress this enough. Water is an extremely important factor in your diet. If you are one that drinks a lot of soda or caffeinated drinks, or even teas throughout the day that are sweetened with sugar or artificial sweeteners, try swapping for a bottle of water! I’m not saying you necessarily need to give up your other loved drinks, but just replacing a few a day with water instead will make a tremendous difference in your body. Water not only keeps you hydrated and healthy, but it helps to flush out the toxins that you are putting in your diet and actually promotes weight loss.
Fruits & Veggies:
I definitely recommend eating all of fruit and veggies that you possibly can! They are so important for your health, keep you full, and make for great healthy snacks! I also try to include at least 1 serving of a fruit or vegetable with each meal that I have for the day.

 Instead of Dieting
Eat at Home:
Quite you will find that anything that you cook and make for yourself in your home is going to be healthier than getting something from a fast food place. There is just so many hidden calories and fats in fast food restaurants, cooking at home is a much better and healthier option.
Get Active:
They say that being healthy is 80% diet and 20% exercise, but I promise you that doing something active everyday will help you to stay fit and healthy like nothing else! I highly recommend just doing something to get your heart rate up and get moving every single day. I’m not saying that you need to go to a gym and have a full on workout session, but try dancing in your home for a half an hour or just playing with your kids outside.

These are just a few tips that help to keep me healthy and active in my life. I love living a healthier, more sensible lifestyle. This is a great way to stay healthy, lose weight, and not feel completely restricted by diets!
